Physical and Chemical Properties	Colorless and odorless crystals that can be weathered in the air. Soluble in water and ether, slightly soluble in ethanol.
Use	Sodium acetate is also known as sodium acetate. Colorless and odorless transparent monoclinic columnar crystals, or white crystalline powder. No smell. Slightly bitter. It is easy to weather and combustible in the air. Dehydrated to anhydrous at 123 ℃. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. At different temperatures, the solubility in water is: 33.0(0 ℃), 40.8(10 ℃), 46.5(20 ℃), 54.5(30 ℃), 65.5(40 ℃), 83(50 ℃), 139(60 ℃), 153(80 ℃), 170 (100 ℃). The pH of the 1.3% aqueous solution is 8.87. Rats LD504400 ~ 5600 mg/kg orally.

Stroke in dry air. The crystal water is lost at 120 ℃ and decomposed at higher temperature. 1g dissolved in 0.8ml of water, 0.6ml of boiling water, 19ml of ethanol and 1% of ethanol. At 25 ℃, the pH of 0.1mol/L aqueous solution is 8.9.
